While the hotel was in a beautiful countryside setting, it was a bit of a drive to reach the nearest town and shops. It would have been great to have a mosquito window to allow for some fresh air without the risk of bites.

I had an amazing stay at this brand new hotel perched high above the countryside with stunning sea views. The family-run property grows their own vegetables, produces honey, and makes lovely tea/jams and soaps you can take home. Breakfast was incredible, and the owner even made us a delicious lunch on request. The stone infinity pool was the perfect spot to relax all day, and the sunset dinner on the terrace was unforgettable. It has all the comforts of a 5-star hotel but with a family-like atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

our second stay in ragusa was even better than the first. madre has everything you need and more. the hosts are fantastic, the food is fresh and delicious, and the hotel itself is stunning. the rooms have incredible views and the pool area is a dream. already planning our next visit!

The location was quite remote, so having a car is a must. It was about a 20-25 minute drive to the nearby towns, but the peaceful and serene surroundings made up for it.

The location was ideal - peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Ragusa and the sea. The staff, especially Filippo and Marta, were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
